speedy 0 #26 March 31, 2008 Quote Come on dragon unless people are pounding in, they stall their wings on every landing that they make. With respect, I don't think this is the case. I consider a stall is when the wing no longer generates any lift and collapses. I witness many landings where the pilot has both feet on the ground and forgets that the canopy is still flying. This results in falling over backwards and being dragged along the ground with people yelling at them to pull in a steering line. Another case is where the pilot lands and the canopy continues to fly forwards and lands in front of the pilot. The canopy has not stalled. Maybe I am just nit picking, but I believe there is a big difference between stalling the canopy and flaring for a nice soft landing. It's actually a topic that came up in discussion with a very well respected pilot regarding the terminology used in the new SIMs. Blues, IanPerformance Designs Factory Team
