skybytch 273 #26 December 30, 2002 QuoteThanks that just saved me a $150 over pay on my order i was about to sent out. Dude, that $150 buys an awful lot of comfort. I won't buy another container without them after having them. Hip rings and a kill line p/c are the two options I always recommend to someone getting on a new custom container. Not having rings on the harness can hurt resale value too.
PhreeZone 20 #27 December 30, 2002 Hip rings are great... I won't won a rig with out them again. I like the chest rings too, but hip rings are required IMO.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
homer 0 #28 December 30, 2002 No, I had planned on ordering with the hip rings for $150 and then get the stainless hardware (articulated) for $200. I thought the "articulated" meant hip & chest rings. I miss under stood the order form. I wanted the chest & and hip rings but I now know I can only get the hip rings. This I will still get just in stainless. If I still sound unclear about the "Articulated" part please feel free to re-define its meaning for me. PhreeZone 20 #29 December 30, 2002 What it means is that youcan either get the plain metal hip rings or you can get them in stainless. Stainless has better resale and tends to look better in my opinion.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

Cornholio 0 #31 January 1, 2003 I have not posted yet since I have "tested" out my new Infinity. I got it about two weeks ago and have since put almost 20 jumps on it. It is the most comfortable rig I have tried. The pros are the riser and bridle protection along with the superb comfort and excellent customer service. When I placed my order, I didn't order the hard riser inserts. I sent Kelly an e-mail asking for them to be added to the order. Before the rig arrived, Kelly called me and told me that he had overlooked my previous e-mail and didn't include them in the price or rig, but said that he would mail them out to me at no extra charge. I received them a couple days later and am just waiting for a good time to bring them to my rigger to be installed. Plus I spoke to him on the phone and placed my order directly with him. That is what I call the personal touch. The leg straps are doublewide and super comfy. I did a cross-country last night in Eloy from 13k and I was very comfortable. I had to readjust them to fit under my legs, but once that was done , it was a smooth ride to the dz. I have not noticed any slippage of the leg straps either. The articulated harness makes it so much more comfy when riding in the plane and in the air and walking on the ground. The only bad thing I can say about the container is it's a bit difficult to stow the excess bridle after packing the PC. It's not a bad thing per se, it's actually a really good thing that the container is that tight and holds the bridle securely. Maybe I was just so used to my Eclipse rig having an eaiser stowage system, but the Infinity is definitely a more secure rig. I am also going to ask my rigger to add a leg-strap-sit mod to my rig since my leg straps like to ride up when I wear sweat pants during free flying. Ask Kelly if he can do this for you, if you plan on doing any type of sit flying. I also like the fact that I get so many compliments on my rig, since there are not that many out there. But I think that will change in the near future. I already know about 3 people that are or have ordered their Infinitys. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! I do believe you will be able to add me as a fourth...although who knows when I'll be able to afford it...but it's the one I want. KellyF 16 #33 January 1, 2003 Quote The only negative is that the hardware on the legstraps is a little slippery (the legstraps tend to loosen up on me). Yes, the hardware is stainless. All things considered, I think it's a fine container. Thanks everyone! This is the best thread EVER!BadDog, give me a call and we'll get your legstraps taken care of. Matt, glad your rig is working out for you- and everyone else, of course! Happy New Year!VSE on Facebook
homer 0 #34 January 1, 2003 Thanks for all the info. I have heard of the leg straps riding up a bit when freeflying and about the mods that can be made to correct the problem. CSA #699 Muff #3804
TALONSKY 0 #35 January 2, 2003 I have an infinity container that was delivered in October. I will second the statement about Kelly being really great to work with. I had ordered mine originally for a PD 160 Reserve and a Crossfire 2 130 main, I got an e mail from Kelly stating that his pattern swould either fit th PD 176 or PD 160 but the main tray would only go as small as my current main. Anyways, I went to the smaller pattern and Kelly ended in throwing in free logo on the side of the rig. These rigs are really great and has the best customer service I have ever seen. Cornholio 0 #36 January 2, 2003 Quote Kelly ended in throwing in free logo on the side of the rig Oh yeah, I forgot about that... I got the free logo too!! Another cool thing is the time that it took. Kelly said it would take 4 weeks and I called him on the 4th week to get a tracking number and he said it was in the box and ready to ship!! Great job Kelly. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

jerm 0 #38 January 4, 2003 QuoteI tried a guy's infinity on that was the same height as me but not quite as big in the chest, and it fit tight around that area. I'm wondering is that true of most infinities or is that me? I plan on getting one with a pull out myself but not until I figure that out. so i tried on my buddy's Nikes the other day who is the same height as me with slightly smaller feet. They were really tight on me... is this what i should expect from all Nike products? duh. Landing without injury is not necessarily evidence that you didn't fuck up... it just means you got away with it this time
