Results of a reline...

Recommended Posts

OK...so....I had to make a mad dash to my local Fed-Ex warehouse Friday night to get my canopy since they wouldn't leave it on my porch. You can imagine my horror when I walk in the house about 715PM on Friday evening and find the little note on the front door. [:/] I was in a panic until I made it there and got my baby from their evil clutches. :D Jumped it about 5 times on Saturday. First was a H&P from 6K. Dumped about 4200Ft and all of 3 cells decided to open. It opened SO soft I watched it intently to make sure nothing was wrong. It was perfect...just had to pump the rear risers to get it inflated. Flys totally differen't. Took me 3 jumps to get the brakes where I wanted them. It of course opens much more predictably now, always on heading, not near as twitchy to riser inputs, recovery arc is MUCH smoother and longer, flare is 100 times better with about 50% more low end flight with a smooth transition to stall instead of the "Just stops flying" like it did before. Riser pressure is a bit lighter too. Doesn't seem to build quite as fast as it did before. Pretty amazing what a new line set can do.....B|

Speaking from FedEx (11 years)....I bet that you are alot happier that we didn't leave it on your doorstep, and someone stole it.

People get mad at us a lot. But we have had things get stolen from peoples doorsteps. That is one reason we don't release anything of value with out a signature.

In the future if you wish, you can have the shipper sign the release signature (Block 8 of the Air Way Bill), and FedEx, or UPS can leave it with out a signature.

I would not do it, but you can.

Oh...I was kinda glad they didn't leave it. I was just torn because I was in a panic trying to get it. See...my last day to jump for well over a month was the following day. Nothing to make you panic like that!!! They were open to 830 PM though and I made it with 30 minutes to spare. B|
