mewing120 0 #1 December 20, 2002 I just bought an Odyssey and went with the OJ since I'll be putting my 135 into it. My question is this: If later I decided I want to Put a larger canopy (150) into the container, will it be possible? I'm downsizing from a 185 to a 135 and hope I can keep the option open. Any thoughts? Ora Vivo
grosfion 0 #2 December 20, 2002 No problem, if you are a good packer you get a brand new 150 in there... M
PhreeZone 20 #3 December 20, 2002 You will have a really long closing loop and the flaps might not work as soon as you hit the air since you'll have hte container streched out of shape. A J1 would have been a much better option, it has a larger pack tray. The largest the OJ was designed to fit was a 135 and thats tight so anything larger would be pushing it. I've had a 176 in my j2 which is one size larger then its made for and there is no way I would have done anything but clear and pulls with it. I had 3 corners of the bag showing and lines out of the container. Freeflying was out of the question and if some one had a rig like that on RW I'd refuse to fly camera above them. Why the big step from 185 to 135?Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
jothie 0 #4 December 20, 2002 I bought a OJ two weeks ago from the stock list and put a brand new (2 Jumps) 150 Stiletto into it. It is a little tight but it is possible and as grosfion mentioned, if you are a good packer, it is no problem. jo "comedy is tragic plus time"
jothie 0 #5 December 20, 2002 hope the attachment worked. It shows my Javelin OJ packed with the 150 Stiletto. jo "comedy is tragic plus time"
Watcher 0 #6 December 20, 2002 My teammate has his new Nitron 150 in his OJ, the nitron packs bigger than the same sized Stiletto. Its alittle tight, but it fits fine, and none of the flaps have ever come open. If you can get the canopy into the D bag for the container, then normally it will fit into the container without problems.Jonathan Bartlett D-24876 AFF-I

johnny1488 1 #9 December 23, 2002 My gf just got a ojk cut for the 139 and has a sabre 150 in it. She has a tough time closing it but doesnt have the arm strength I do and has to do the between the legs pull-up pull. Very do-able though.
