deaffreeflyer 0 #1 December 18, 2002 I'm considering to order a brand new Odyssey and Tempo 150. Which Odyssey container sizing is better fitting for Tempo 150 and Safire 144 - TJNK or TJNK.5 Javelin container sizing chart link I checked Tempo 150's packing volume is 294 cu. in. It's almost the same packing volume as PD Reserve 126 (296 cu. in) - do it mean Tempo 150 can fit in a container reserve sizing for 126 to 135 no problem? PhreeZone 20 #2 December 18, 2002 Ignore the PIA numbers on canopies and talk to the maker on how well different canopies fit in their containers. The Pia numbers are for the old Tempos and not the updated model that packs larger. I'd even consider a J1 if you want to have an easy time bagging the canopy and if you ever want to toss in a larger canopy for something like CRW or demos.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
grosfion 0 #3 December 19, 2002 I have a J1 and my packer always complains that the 143PD reserve is too small for the container. He said he could get one size bigger in there. So better you check with your rigger. I'm thinking to get a Tempo 170 in the container (I like the reserve big and the container tight).. Samurai136 0 #4 December 19, 2002 My experiencee w/ sunpath is; unless you insist on a specific container size, Sunpath only requests the canopy size of the reserve and main you intend to jump. They will pick the appropriate container size. I'd call or e-mail sunpath and ask about your options. Realistically, what is the smallest canopy (reserve) you are comfortable trying to land in a worst case scenario; injured, landing out, etc?
