Building swoop pond Need Help

Hi we are building a pond the digging i finished and we are making the foundation as the next step..

But the edges on the pond is now almost 90 degree and I think that they should be at least 45 degree so a landing near the edge wont be too hard.

Am i just too anxious about landing on the edge or what is your experience.

We have a pond.

It is about 4-5m wide and 30-50m long.
It has shallow walls in the short edges as I remember.
Walls are quite steep on the long edges.

here is the one we built. i would think about 30 degrees no more. and use sand over the liner it will help keep it cleaner. and the blue stuff is called aquashade. use it it keeps algae growth down. ok thats all for free.

If you do happen to get algee growing in it a dose of copper sulfate powder will kill it fairly quickly. A few pounds of the powder spread around the surface for a full size swoop pond will have it killed in a few days. A local farm supply store sold it in 50 pound bags and that lasted about 8 years for the pond (non-swooping) that I used to have.

Be careful with the Aqushade, it can stain clothing with prolonged contact to it at above recommended levels of it.
