Ranch Pond Swoop Meet Re-scheduled!!!!

Because of weather the meet has been moved to the weekend of September 23-24th.

We only finished one round (two runs at the straight lane) and Marat took home the $1000 prize for that one!!!

The meet in September is going to be a full one (re doing the straight lane) and is open to anyone who wants to show up. There will be a $1000 prize for the winner of each individual event, Straight, carving, targets, freestyle and the raft. There will also be an additional $1000 for the overall winner.

This events looks to be a lot of fun, so bust out the pond shoes and get to The Ranch!!!!! Go big or go home!!!!!

I came up to see the competition this year and was pissed that it got rained out. On the other hand I did get to meet some new people and look forward to making some jumps up there real soon. I will definately be back up there on the 23rd!

Well said Johnny1488, However I need to make sure everyone knows what else happened......

Since the weather report was not looking any better for Monday (the scheduled weather day) the meet was technically called early.

So the Organizer & Sponsor (Billy Richards c/o The Ranch) returned the balance of the registration money to all the competitors (reg was $100 inc jumps) competitors got back $70 since they only made 3 jumps.

Then Billy/The Ranch reimbursed 5 competitors travel money !!!!! Yes, Billy/The Ranch gave out approximately $1000 to the competitors that traveled from Florida, Georgia & Colorado !!!!!!

I've personally been to many many swoop competitions but I have never ever seen money given out to people just because they traveled for a meet that got cut short due to weather !!!!

Now if your planning to come in September 23 & 24th please don't think if it gets washed out that you will get money.....but hey all this shows is that ya never know what's going to happen at the Ranch so you might not want to miss it !!!!!
