whats a dead man?

Sorry for being ignorant but i'm just getting into this freestyle thing and have been doing some very nice supermans (easier than i thought) and some people say "nice dead man"?? is a dead man when you actually scrape your chest along the ground (or water if you are fortunate enough to have a pond)? or just another name for the same thing?

Its similar to a superman, except you let your body drop lower (to your chest) and typically you don't pick yourself back up onto your feet.

Basically it was the original freestyle move (besides hitting a stylish "swoop stance").

Now days it is, basically, back in the day it was cool. I remember the first time I saw someone do that in 2000, it was the coolest thing I had ever seen.

yeah and my favorite trick is a scorpion noseslide, i leaned that one when i was snowboarding.
