CanopyPiloting 0 #1 July 26, 2006 This Pro Swooping Tour's "Air Festival" was filmed by NBC, the High Definition Network and Fox. The HD Network will feature the event on a show called "Deadline" within the next two weeks and NBC will release the dates for their "Freestyle Files" in the coming weeks. Check your local listings! The Pro Swooping Tour's 2006 Swoop Festival called the "AIR FESTIVAL" is over and was the largest and most successful swooping event to date! The Festival was a two day show featuring the top swoopers from the PST along side airshow acts like "rocketman", powered paragliders, "Rocky" the Denver nuggets mascot, birdman flights, CRW parabatics, the World Parabatic Swoop Team, Miss Maximum, a tandem jump by the senator of Colorado, tandem jump by host of NBC Freestyle Files, a US Flag jump demonstration and much, much more! There were hundreds of spectators that filtered through the venue each day filling it near capacity. Some spectators hiked for blocks from the overflow parking area to see the PST festivities. The show lasted four hours each day with non stop action. There was both a color and talent commentator as master of ceremonies with exhibitions jumps between each competition round, ground entertainment, merchandising booths, food booths, a athlete area and more. The athlete experience was amazing! Competitors would get loaded aboard the aircraft, swoop the course for a competition round, conduct a live interview with commentators in the landing area and sign autographs from spectators all along the way. Between all of this competitors would watch ground and airshow acts while getting interviewed by the networks for Television. The award ceremony took place at the venue immediately following each event.
