JGarcia 0 #1 June 1, 2005 The first 15 minutes were spectacular. It opens up with a less than spectuacular swoop that makes you cringe. Great editing, much less MTVish than the Out of the Blue DVD. Great coverage of sweet freestyle swoops! After the first 15 mins, it became a 35 minute commercial for the GLC. Don't get me wrong, the footage was very cool... gives you a VERY good idea of the benefits and great fun to be had with a 2+ minute swoops! They shot these runs with every possible camera angle...some more spectacular than others. I'll watch the 1st part of the DVD a few times, but unlike the SWOOP series put out by Pier Media , it's not a video that I'll watch over and over again, in it's entirety. Overall, it's a pretty good video, and definitely recommend seeing it. Cheers! --JairoLow Profile, snag free helmet mount for your Sony X3000 action cam! ianmdrennan 2 #2 June 1, 2005 Hmm - I liked the whole package. Just as I started to get bored with the ground launch footage, he'd break to another segment. I'd have liked to have seen more canopy piloting (skydiving) but I thought it was pretty well balanced overall. I'll jsut have to watch it again tonight to be sure Blues, IanPerformance Designs Factory Team
Brains 2 #3 June 1, 2005 I loved the video overall. That opening "swoop" was interesting to say the least. I thought the flow was very good too, nicely edited and produced. I liked the GL segment. I have been reading quite a bit about it and i liked seeing the actual footage. For someone only interested in comp swooping though i can see how that would get old. Only other thing i would have liked to see were some names put with the chows like they did with the good swoops. In all seriousness, showing this video to some newbies and showing them that even the TOP pros crash and burn could be one extra incentive to take it easy. Kudos to Jim and crew for a great video. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

YISkyDive 0 #5 June 2, 2005 I liked gravity pilots alot. It had some major points that could have been improved upon, but also a great step forward from PST2003, and Out of the Blue. I think Jim should "define" segments more. Like the new zeland expedition could have been expanded upon, and interviews could have been put through out the DVD more so than tacked on at the end. If anyone is into kitesurfing.. AWAKE was a great kite board movie that showed diffrent aspects of kitesurfing and kiteboarding through rideing shots and through interviews. I really liked gravity pilots though. It was another step forward and i think i'll watch it many times to come. some of the footage is just amayzing. we'll see what the future of slaton airsports brings- good job Jim. Nice work. dave.
