PhreeZone 20 #1 May 25, 2005 Finally... The USPA did something right in the magazine we get each month. Its a hell of a good start in getting the word out about exactly what canopy schools are really all about and the things to know to progress in canopy knowledge. Its not an end all be all article, but finally they are publishing something that goes to further knowledge outside the "Swoop Survial" series a few years ago.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

bob.dino 1 #3 May 25, 2005 For those of us outside the USA, could you provide a little more info on the article contents?
PhreeZone 20 #4 May 25, 2005 Basically Jim Crouch (USPA Official) sat down with a panel consisting of Ian Bobo, Clint Clawson, Shannon Pilcher, Kaz Sheekey, Jim Slaton and Jonathan Tagle. They were asked them all sorts of questions about what canopy pilots needs to know for both landing, downsizing, what to look for in a canopy coach, and who needs canopy coaching (Everyone including themselves). Some of the answers are really good and if more upcoming jumpers read the article and take it to heart then its a really good start. At least when Kaz says shes used a canopy coach 4 times this year already hopefully it will motivate some people out that that think they are too good for coaching to get some.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

NeedToJump 0 #6 May 26, 2005 Quote*Shaking head* Can anyone really be that naive? Have you read half the posts in this forum? There are ton of people out there in desparate need of coaching who have absolutely no idea. "I'm special", "I learn faster than others", "I know what I'm doing", "you're just trying to hold me back", "I have over 100 jumps total and over 20 jumps doing 90s, I'm ready for a 270" ... Hopefully these people will get some coaching before the kill themself or someone else. PhreeZone 20 #7 May 26, 2005 Ari, nice pic in Parachutist.... even though it looks like you were breaking a safety rule of the CPC Is your helmet painted the same as your hair or was that helmetless?Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
NeedToJump 0 #8 May 26, 2005 I'm actually really surprised they published that pic since I am not wearing a helmet. I've changed since then and always wear a helmet when swooping (or jumping out of an airplane at all for that matter.)Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com
