CornishChris 5 #1 November 11, 2002 Is it OK to put an alti in the hold of a standard passenger plane or will going to 35K do it damage? Not sure if the holds are fully pressurised? CJP Gods don't kill people. People with Gods kill people
bobsoutar 0 #2 November 11, 2002 Most holds are pressurised these days but it's ok even if it's not. Best to take an audible alti as hand luggage though.

nacmacfeegle 0 #4 November 11, 2002 If you take an audible, it will still go off, and on, and off, etc ,etc ,etc, you get the picture.Timeouts do anyways...protracs are easy to switch on and off, TOs need their batteries removed. I've taken my alti in the hold on many occassions, no adverse effects as yet... -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me.
