D22369 0 #1 March 15, 2004 I just got in my first 270 degree carving riser turn (I hate to say hook) of the year, I had a three month lay off because of weather, it took me four jumps with less aggressive landings to make sure the eyes were up to par. It came off sweet, just like I had no lay off. If you have a layoff in your jumping, how many jumps do you take before getting as aggressive as you were before the layoff? RoyThey say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.
rhino 0 #2 March 15, 2004 I did my first 2 the season the day before yesturday. Gentle carves. Couldn't feel my hands well enough to be agressive and don't want to risk dropping a toggle. Feels good to be back in the saddle.. Rhino

skygod7777 0 #4 March 15, 2004 on my first jump back i did my normal approach (270). but it was only a month off. but then again i had was a bit off i swooped the hanger and didn't make it to the grass and crashed on the concrete. so maybe i was still a bit off oh well. later
dragon2 2 #5 March 15, 2004 I was weathered down this last weekend (the 200 jump limit posted was very very optimistic I thought ), the weekend before it was sh*tty weather too, even tho we had a swooop competition. Some of the competitors were slightly rusty. Since I was weathered down anyway I put a small video together: http://www.12000ft.com/video/three.html Here in Holland a lot of people take winter breaks, but with some warm clothing you can still jump most of the time. Usually a lot of hop'n'pops get done these months, so a couple competitors may have been more current on swoooping last weekend then they'll be in the summer ciel bleu, Saskia

Quote I recently took two months off due to a lapse in my health care coverage and getting metal out of my ankle. I kept telling myself "straight in, straight in" but before I knew it the fronts were in my hand and it's 270 degrees of pure sweetness. Oh well, I'm addicted, I can live with that. -We are the Swoophaters.
