Sonic 0 #1 November 8, 2002 [crappy explanation] The loop on my packing tool has become very big and I can actually pull / move the line out where it's finger trapped. how do I sort this out?----------------------------------- It's like something out of that twilighty show about that zone
AggieDave 6 #2 November 8, 2002 Buy a new line. The metal part of the tool will last practically the life of your skydiving career, but the line will wear out. If theres no one on the DZ that makes replacement lines, see if your rigger will do it. Remember to have them stitch it, not just fingertrap it. Worst case, if you can't get one, look for that add in the back of Parachutist/Skydiving for the tool, call them and ask them to sale you a handful of those lines. Then you can sale them to your friends too.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

Kris 0 #5 November 9, 2002 That's Greg Gerondale's #. He was my rigger and one of my JM's back in the day. The packing tool he makes is about the best made one I have seen yet. So I wouldn't count on a lifetime, but it'll definately last longer than the rope:) Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked! It was made by one of the guys on the DZ, very strong, very useful.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." drenaline 0 #9 November 10, 2002 powertool are kinda confusing to use the first couple of times but when you get used to it you will never want to see a pull up chord ever again. HISPA 21 www.panamafreefall.com
