pccoder 0 #1 January 24, 2004 I've noticed in all these swoop photos that everyone has taken the slider and pulled it to what seems even lower than it normally would be and collapsed it nice and tight and placed it behind their head? What is this all about? I am a fairly new jumper (61 in 10 months), however curious about this as I am becoming more interested in canopy control. Thanks in advance Chris PcCoder.net
skygod7777 0 #2 January 24, 2004 well one of the first things it does, is let you canopy get wider, you lines can spread further out. this lets the canopy get flatter. and it also reduces drag by pulling it behind your head. and even though it is still collapsed when it is up top, it still makes noise, so when you pull it behind your head, it doesn't make any more noise. later

BrianSGermain 1 #4 January 28, 2004 By flying "flatter" the wing produces more lift in slow flight, and has a better capability to save your butt if you turn too low. Loosening the chest strap also adds to this effect.Instructional Videos:www.AdventureWisdom.com Keynote Speaking:www.TranscendingFEAR.com Canopies and Courses:www.BIGAIRSPORTZ.com
