goose491 0 #5 September 19, 2003 QuoteNice picture... You're kind of obnoxious aren't you Kind of??!?! Judging by his derogatory and non-productive posts in Bruno's thread... combined by this clear 'calling out' to Bruno here... I would say that he's down right arrogant, narrow-minded and dare I say it?... perhaps even a bit prejudiced. But that's just my $0.02... I really shouldn't contribute it since I'm no swoop-master myself. Nick My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
freeflydrew 0 #6 September 19, 2003 Tree is a great guy who speaks his mind... he is none of the things you wrote... Arrogent, narrow-minded, and prejudice??? You've probably never met him or heard of him ever before... you don't like something that he said, so you label him? Nice one! maybe you shouldn't contribute? Treejumps 0 #7 September 19, 2003 Hey Nick, Prejudiced would indicate that I have never met or witnessed Bruno in action. I have. I speak from observing many of his landings and even trying to steer him on the right path. Those who speak of prejudice usually only need a mirror to find it. goose491 0 #11 September 19, 2003 QuoteHey Nick, Hi QuotePrejudiced would indicate that I have never met or witnessed Bruno in action. Or perhaps that you assume that Bruno was hyping about his swooping abilities when he was not. Quote I speak from observing many of his landings and even trying to steer him on the right path. I haven't met either of you in person, but i can still tell that he doesn't want your advice. Much-less your put-downs and personal attacks. You trying to teach him all about swooping by using swooping examples and dropping pro-swoopers names... the man said that's not what he's about... the thread was visited by posters and a moderator to say this is not what the man's about... if her want's to fly what he's flyin', and he's doing it safely, leave him be! QuoteThose who speak of prejudice usually only need a mirror to find it. Either that, or they really dislike predudice right? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!! goose491 0 #12 September 19, 2003 QuoteYou've probably never met him or heard of him ever before. Nope QuoteI know that you see things in your own world quite differently, but if you are going to post pics expect feedback. Whats up Bruno, you afraid of your rear risers Nice, probably got a few laughs. QuoteLike I said Bruno, if you are dumb enough to post pics of a non existent swoop, people are going to call you on it. Those pics show a very poor landing, you digging out, and your body laguage says "oh god, please help me survive another one". No one asked you to embarass yourself by putting those pics up, and clearly, no one is impressed. (I guess in your mind, the thousands of impressed fans just haven't bothered to post). Drew gave you an excellent suggestion: Canopy Coaching. Given an appropriately loaded canopy and several hundred supervised landings, you may be able to swoop.....one day. Dumb enough? embarass yourself? I guess this is the real constructive critisism? And the sarcastic remark about the tousands of fans... The man kills me QuotePersonally, I would love to see Bruno vs Luigi in ANY type of canopy competition. Speed, distance, accuracy, stand up landings, whatever. It would be truly comical to see Bruno eat every last one of his words. Which words would those be Tree? Hmmm, don't seem to recall Bruno saying a darn thing about competition with Luigi... thanks for the contructive critisism though. Real cool of you Oh Oh, wait, it gets a little better. QuoteFor that matter, watching Luigi trounce Bruno physically would also be fun too. But as we all know too well, Bruno dosen't, check that, can't, compete. At least not at any PST event. How bout it Bruno? I've got $1,000.00 says you can't even carry Luigi's rig for him. Trounce? So you would like to see Bruno trashed, beaten up, slaughtered? Hmm, No malice here right? Perhaps my dictonary has a different meaning of the word. And is it that Luigi wouldn't let him carry the rig? Cause if you really did feel like coughing up $1,000.00, I'd bet Luigi would let him carry it and split your money... lol... That I'd like to see. You: "WTF!, but, I thought you'd not let him carry your rig because he can't swoop as good as you! " and so on and so fourth. QuoteQuit while your ahead. (behind) VX 62! Why would we want to see him under that barge. I mean jeez, thats only like 3.0 to 1. My grandmother could swoop that giant thing. Come on, what about those awesome swoops on the 55. No good video of that? No good landings on that? How dissapointing. Bruno, please compete. Ask Lyle and Jim real nice if they will let you try out for advanced again. I mean, if you can land a 55 better than Luigi lands his 46, you would probably clean up in advanced. Really. No comment on these, just wanted to include EVERY SINGLE ONE OF TREES POSTS. Now, if you've read through this entire post of mine, please tell me where I'm mistaken. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
ranchhand28 0 #13 September 19, 2003 If only you knew how tall Tree is... (hey, I'm just kidding! no need to fire back...) What up Tree, Mr. 6'4 and some more! Missed you at the Ranch this year! Did you take care of that housing on your Reflex risers ?!? Big blue ones, Thereza
freeflydrew 0 #14 September 19, 2003 Quote Which words would those be Tree? Hmmm, don't seem to recall Bruno saying a darn thing about competition with Luigi... thanks for the contructive critisism though. Real cool of you Oh Oh, wait, it gets a little better. Now, if you've read through this entire post of mine, please tell me where I'm mistaken. I believe that Steel made a comment about passing Luigi's skill in shutting down a teeny weeny parachute... "I will admit that there was a time when I looked up to his accomplishments and thought of what he had done as the end all. But as you pointed out I have surpased his wingloading and judging from the landings I have seen on his 46 I have accomplished a clearner shutdown (meaning I don't have to run like hell and end up with a stalled canopy behind me), for that reason I look to my own experience when thinking about what can or can't be done in terms of a heavy wingloading" Tree was obviously responding in a scarcistic way to a completely ludicrious statement. If you've ever seen Luigi (yes, Luigi the professional canopy pilot) fly and land the little 46, and taken a look at Bruno's pics or video clip, then some of what Tree said makes perfect sense.... Because the whole thing is sooo freakin' far fetched, it's ridiculous. Professional pilots fly in their own league... that's why they're professionals! The Luigi comments, in addition to some of the other comments, make for some interesting discussion... Tree clearly capitalized on the opportunity and started pressing buttons. There'sbeen a whole lot of scarcism here.... But wait! your post is just as scarcastic!!! Does that make you narrow-minded or prejudice? Doubt it! BTW Tree's grandmother recently downsized from the 62 to a 48 square foot canopy. And, just to make clear again... I never suggested that Steel get canopy coaching. Someone else did. I simply added to their post. So let's all DROP this topic and go and post Hot Swoop Pics here
