skreamer 1 #3 July 1, 2003 Is this run as a competing series to the Pro Swooping Tour? Red Bull vs. Go Fast energy drink?
SkymonkeyONE 4 #4 July 1, 2003 Basically, yes. That said, Jim and Lyle are the people that spent their own money and put forth the effort to get their series sanctioned as "the" national and world event. There are not a lot of people who can afford to make all the meets on both sides, but man, I wish I was one of the ones who had the freedom to do so. skreamer 1 #5 July 1, 2003 Chuck, if for example, you could only attend events in the states, would someone like yourself who qualifies for both be allowed to enter both series' events when held in the states? Basically, will there be any single event in which the best pilots from both tours will be competing head to head? I'd presume this is something the manufacturers would want but maybe the energy drink sponsors would oppose (if their's wasn't the chosen event that is). SkymonkeyONE 4 #6 July 1, 2003 Well, Will, the answer is yes in both regards, but that depends on what is important to you. If you want a national and world medal, then one would be best off hitting only PST events because THAT is the sanctioned series. While I am sure RedBull will have a wonderful prize for the ultimate winner (probably Heath Richardson), that placing, unless also accompanied by a top ten placing in the PST Oregon meet, will not get you into the world meet at Perris. Do you follow me? Chuck
Hans 0 #7 July 1, 2003 Hey Chuck I hope to prove you wrong in Cleveland. The top prize is $2,500 and a $6,000 Les Paul original guitar with Red Bull and swooping logos. The Farm

Do you follow me? Yes, thanks - will keep an eye out for Oregon entries/results since that will be the crunch meet. Interesting to see how many of the Red Bull competitors enter it. SkymonkeyONE 4 #9 July 1, 2003 Hans, you KNOW you are my brother and I hope you win the whole thing. I was just going on the overall win total makes you the ultimate winner theory. That said, I hope you bring it home for the southern boys. Like you said: "so long as I beat T.J. it's all good." YOU DA MAN, HANSIE! Chuck
