ramon 0 #1 December 15, 2002 Hey dude, I was reviewing the ASC pro tape. how did you start two foot drags and dead mans.....(of course everytime you knew you were not going to make it out the pond you chowed with total commitment) seems like if I try more than just my right foot I get dragged (too much water) in followed by pop up then careening off course to the bank... err any comments?? ramon"Revolution is an abrupt change in the form of misgovernment.", Ambrose Bierce. SkymonkeyONE 4 #2 December 16, 2002 Yeah, Jason threw a couple of very stylish double-footers. I was totally surprised when he popped up and out on that one round; outstanding. When it comes to chow commitment, though, it has to be Morgan, hands down! That boy aint right. Chuck
eames 0 #3 December 17, 2002 Hey Ramon, what's up? Sorry for the delay, I've been out at the dz for a few days.... Ahh, I haven't seen the video yet! I just emailed SteveO about that. How did I start doing them? Not very well! When I first started trying them I would usually catch a knee in the water and pop up like you're saying. So instead of leaving my knees in front of me, when I want to do a double foot drag (which usually leads to a dead man ;) I try to set my feet in first and let them drag my legs behind me, so I can't catch a knee. But it is hard to leave enough ooomph to get yourself out of the pond after dragging so much. The only course it would really be good for is zone accuracy-- if you're going too fast... other than that it's all for fun!! Jason
ramon 0 #4 December 18, 2002 Hey Jason, Eric Butz said I have to learn that one by taking my wounds....last time I tried it over the big pond I made an un-expected 45 turn to the left straight to the bank.
