JGarcia 0 #1 December 5, 2002 So I've read of people replacing their FX's/VX's lines with HMA lines (Precision Aerodynamic's X-Mod). Has anyone heard of people replacing their Velocity's lines with HMA. I know this month's Parachutist Mag has a small article that says PD's experimenting with this option, but then the article goes on to state that the life span of HMA lines are only 100 jumps. Now I know that's gotta be a typo because I've put 300+ on the lines on my Xaos-21. Would Precision Aerodynamics reline a Velocity (perform the so-called X-Mod) if one requested? Just a little more than curious, since I may be acquiring a Velocity 90. --JairoLow Profile, snag free helmet mount for your Sony X3000 action cam! skygod7777 0 #2 December 5, 2002 to let you know, i don't know the answere to your question. but i'm just curious, why do you want hma lines??? i think the lines on the velocity's that the factory team is using are smaller than the ones that precision uses. i think, not sure, but that would make sense why they don't last as long. and to your question, i kind dought it, precision used to build fx's and vx's, so they would have the line trims, and what they need to be. so i dought they would have a velocity's. you never know though. later

GroundZero 0 #4 December 5, 2002 "Would Precision Aerodynamics reline a Velocity?" No, ...Talk with the Manufacturer, PD... they are the best for service on their canopies. "small article that says PD's experimenting with this option, but then the article goes on to state that the life span of HMA lines are only 100 jumps." These canopies are cascaded lines using the smaller HMA sizes... Production canopies are using only the smallest HMA in Continuous linesets... We also have a few prototype canopies with the cascaded sets... and expect the life of the linesets to be much shorter... Hehe, yeah, but it was cool. I remembered that you had some works in progress when TJ was down here last weekend but didn't think it was that far along. -- Hook high, flare on time
