boomerang helmet and contacts

Recommended Posts

for what it's worth, I jump a Z1 with contacts and the vent at the front fully "open" ie. not blocked by the liner. Never had a problem yet both flat and sit flying

shouldn't be a problem if you use soft contacts, if you use the glass one then I think there might be problem cause it doesnt stick to your eyes as good as the soft ones. If you want to try it here is a good way: be in the passenger seat of a car, have the driver accelerate until its like 120 kms/h or more (stick your hand out of the window and feel the wind to see if its kinda close to what you feel in freefall), if its close to that feeling then put on your helmet and take your head out of the window, look at every angle (to the rear, to the front, to the sky, to the earth, sideways etc.) and make your conclusions.

Its fun to do that with the goggles ;)

Recommended car for the test: cars with sun roof, cars with no roof.

Conclusions: police officers don't like to see that... :) other cars or trucks might hit your head very hard (even if you have a bonehead, but who knows the bonehead might survive but I dunno about the neck :S, Oh yeah me forgot, the most important thing of all: the ticket for high speed driving is expensive.... I wear contacts and use a boomerang. I have had no problems at all. The face shield is well ventilated, but the air isn't really blowing directly in your eyes, so as long as you don't have problems with contacts falling out in regular day to day activities, I don't think you will have any problems with this helmet.
