Cornholio 0 #1 October 25, 2002 I am looking for a gear bag that will hold my rig, and maybe a jumpsuit, a few clothes, helmet and other items. Preferrably something that I can take on an airplane with me and also carry to the dropzone. I have seen people at dzs with these things, but have never asked where to get one. I have looked on the Net and also classifieds, but I think I am searching for the wrong terms. Can anyone point me in the right direction and clue me in to what name I should be looking for ? Any known web sites that I can see what I am buying ?? Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cornholio 0 #5 October 25, 2002 Those look about what I am looking for and cheap, but they sure don't give a lot of information or close up pics. Anyone else have any links ? Thanks Casch ! Casch 0 #6 October 25, 2002 From what I have heard, they are very good with customer service so I bet if you e-mailed blasi_velocity@kurupee.com he could help you out...but yeah I agree they need a little more detail on those bagz
darkvapor 0 #7 October 25, 2002 You know, an even better idea is just to search around for oversized duffles. Personally, instead of paying 100$ or more for a bag, I found a great deal for a great duffle bag for 14.97$ at an outdoor/adventure online store. You can look into military surplus as well. There are lots of cargo bags out there that will get the job done. I even like my duffle better than a real gear bag, because I can fit the rig and a full face helmet in the main compartment with plenty of room to spare... Just a suggestion.. nacmacfeegle 0 #10 October 25, 2002 I think this was discussed recently, try a search, If you want a custom rig bag, Square1 do them, If you want something to take your gear on planes etc, I'd recommend a hard case from Samsonite or the equivalent, if you want a Sack to keep your shit in, Walmart.... -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. Squeak 17 #11 October 25, 2002 Problem is i think he wants a bag that can go onboard an airplane with (not a jump plane) as cabin luggage I think You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! slotperfect 7 #12 October 25, 2002 I am currently using a wheeled duffel bag I bought at Wal Mart for about $25. It works well for back-and-forth to the DZ, but is obviously not fit for carry-on luggage. You can get one of those wheeled carry-on pieces of luggage that you see people with on airliners all the time. There are sizes that will fit gear nicely. You can get those just about anywhere, including Wal Mart.Arrive Safely John
quatorze 1 #13 October 25, 2002 Square one, I still haven't killed my bag yet. I'm not afriad of dying, I'm afraid of never really living- Erin Engle
bobsoutar 0 #14 October 25, 2002 I think Terry might be a bit stretched at the moment. I ordered a bag 9 weeks ago and am still waiting.
AggieDave 6 #15 October 25, 2002 We had a thread about this just recently, I'm sure its still around. For me, I got a rolling duffel bag from Wal-Mart for $20. It holds all of my stuff, it rolls AND it matches my gear.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

I have a Sunshine Factory bag, medium, it holds two rigs and three suits and has a pockets for the small stuff. I may not need it anymore, I'll be out at Byron this Sunday, probably, check it out. skybytch 273 #17 October 25, 2002 Quote If you want a custom rig bag, Square1 do them Actually, sadly, at the moment we aren't doing any custom color gear bags The wonderful folks who sew them for us moved and got full time jobs so the delivery time became ridiculous. We have yet to find anyone local who is able to do the kind of quality work we need, so for now, no custom colors. If you're not picky on colors, we do have some in stock. Dedicated gear bags are nice, but if you don't want to drop that kind of coin a big duffel bag or suitcase will work great too.
parachutist 2 #18 October 26, 2002 QuoteSquare one, I still haven't killed my bag yet. ditto. I bought a Square 1 gear bag about 4 years ago & it's been to several states with me... in my car, on airlines, strapped to the back of motorcycle. Lots of abuse but it holds up very well.
