SkydiveMonkey 0 #1 May 18, 2002 I've tried front risering my hornet 170 @ 1.2 a few times now (in the air, no hooks yet), and it seems to turn very slowly. How much speed am I picking up ? (it's hard to tell doing it at altitude). When I grow up, I want to be a post whore
flow 1 #2 May 18, 2002 How much did you pull the front riser? I'm jumping Hornet 150 loadedat 1.3 - 1.35 and I have to pull almost 4 inches to get it reallydive. When I first tried front riser turns, I only pulled max. 2 inches andit resulted only slow turn/little dive combination. And you should notice the speed difference, it is huge when doneproperly. maretus 0 #3 May 18, 2002 The amount of speed you are gaining (obviously) depends on how much you are risering it. Are you doing front riser turns or practising straight double fronts approaches ? Especially when pulling double fronts you should notice the extra speed you're gaining. And flow, say that you are doing those front risering experiments up high. Be patient with that hornet... See you at dz next weekend...
SkydiveMonkey 0 #4 May 18, 2002 Haven't done anything with the front risers near the ground yet. I want to get my landings perfect straight in first. I pull down on the risers quite a lot (or seems like a lot anyway). I'll just go for it next time When I grow up, I want to be a post whore
skymedic 0 #5 May 20, 2002 seemed to me when I front risered the hornet I got decent speed...the issue was the hornet has just such high front riser pressures...compared to the slightly more expensive sabre2....CheersmarcEat my altimeter Bitch!!!!
