grega 0 #1 October 16, 2002 Would it be possible to pack a bigger reserve than recommended in mirage containers. We, for example were able to pack a reserve one size bigger in javelin and atom without much of a problem "George just lucky i guess!"

Best to check with them.

Larger reserves will NOT fit".
Kris 0 #4 October 17, 2002 QuoteOn Mirage website it says that "you can safely drop one size on main and one on reserve. Larger reserves will NOT fit". Heh. I have a Mirage G3 UNISYN in an M4 size. For a reserve, it is supposed to hold a PD-160R or DM-181. I have a Tempo 210 in my reserve tray along with a Cypres. That Tempo packs significantly bigger than a PD-160R (It's closer in size to a PD-176R) and it fits in there just fine and all my flaps are flat. I wouldn't try to go more than one size higher but the tradeoff I have for having a bigger reserve is that two riggers were unable to pack it (The one I use now can pack it very easy so it seems to be more of a finesse issue) and the reserve area is very stiff so I lose a little flexibility in the container. Check with Bill at Mirage. He's a nice guy and he'll make sure you have the right info. alexey 6 #5 October 17, 2002 If you have big container (170-170 or so) - its possible, and wont look and fit bad... But, in small sizes - I dont reccoment it. I pack 128 Techno to tray for 113 PD - it is REALY tight.... (pull test OK... ) and, I dont like rig look like that, but it was customers oddity...Lexa
