PACKER PRIVILEGES 10.4.1. The privileges of Packer "B" shall be to inspect, pack and carry out daily maintenance on main parachutes with which he is familiar and competent. 12.2. PACKER RATING PREREQUISITES 12.2.1. APF PACKER RATING CLASS "B": Applicants for this rating must: (a) Be at least 16 years of age; (b) Have the ability to maintain clear and concise records; (c) Have the recommendation of a Chief Instructor or Rigger Examiner; (d) Pass the written and practical examinations with at least 70% in each examination. 12.4. VALIDITY OF RATINGS 12.4.1. All APF packer ratings and rigger ratings are held subject to the holder being a current APF member and passing a revalidation examination every two years. 12.4.2. At the time the revalidation examination is conducted, the packer or rigger shall present to the Area Rigger Panel, his Parachute Maintenance Log or written evidence of his relevant activities. 12.4.3. Applications for revalidation of packer or rigger ratings shall be made on the prescribed form to the APF Secretariat. 12.4.4. The revalidation of an instructor or tutor rating automatically includes revalidation of the member’s rigger or packer rating provided (a) if the instructor or tutor holds a Rigger or Packer “A” rating, that he/she provides evidence that he/she has packed six reserves in the last two years or packs three emergency parachutes to the satisfaction of a person qualified under 12.1.3 or (b) if the instructor or tutor holds a Packer “B” rating, that he/she satisfies the Instructor Examiner or the National Examiner of his/her current experience. 12.4.5. Deleted April 2002. 12.5. SUSPENSION OR CANCELLATION OF RATINGS 12.5.1. An APF Council or Area Rigging Panel may, at its discretion, suspend any packer or rigger rating. 12.5.2.
