PhillyKev 0 #26 September 18, 2002 Right...the tip I gave is before it is bagged. I do this if I'm laying on the canopy getting the air out after putting it on the ground.
JFC3 0 #27 September 18, 2002 Does anyone know what the hell the centerline option for the RWS rigs is? Is this their own word for a kill line? I guess it does sound a little more pleasant. I noticed on their order form that all rigs that leave their factory will be supplied with a collapsable PC, but then they charge more for the "centerline" PC. Any one have any info on that? PhreeZone 20 #29 September 18, 2002 Its bridle thats inside the bag too covering the kill line thats there. It prevents the pinching and line burns others can cause by late setting, resetting of the PC.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
Hooknswoop 19 #30 September 18, 2002 I'vee seen that design, where on the inside of the D-bad the kill line is hodden isdie a sanwhich of 1 inch or 3/4 inch tape. As you cock the PC, this tape "scrunches" up and the kill line is not exposed. The downside to this design is that the "scrunched" up tape is trying to "un-scrunch" itself, which collapses/un-cocks the PC. I'll stick to cocking the PC then putting the canopy in the bag. It's worked for me. Hook

billvon 3,110 #32 September 19, 2002 >Right...the tip I gave is before it is bagged. I find I have no problems cocking it while lying on the canopy. Take the PC handle and a piece of the D-bag in one hand, use the other hand to stretch the middle of the bridle out. Should cock it without having to move off your pack job (if you're lying on it, that is.)
