void TSO??

Recommended Posts

No, it is the responsibility of the assembling rigger to determine compatibility of components.

From Poynter’s manual:

“The assembly or mating of approved parachute components from different manufacturers may be made by a certificated and appropriately rated parachute rigger or parachute loft without further authorization by the manufacturer or the FAA. Each component of the resulting assembly must function properly and may not interfere with the operation of the other components.”

“The rigger is also still charged by FAR part 65.129 not to pack a certificated parachute that is not safe for emergency use.”

now vern, why don't you ask someone at the dz???? like jonny, dad steve, rogger, greg, YOUR DAD, or brue???

and the way i look at it, no it wouldn't because if you get a javelin NJ, you can put a pd 113, raven 120, or a tempo 120, or a pdr 126(tight), and they are all different sizes(ecept for raven and tempo) right.

just like for a voodoo, you dad has a V0, and he has a dash-m 109, but it was built for a 120, now he has never said that the tso is voided on his rig right.

you just have to think vern, think!!!
