blackwidow 0 #1 September 11, 2002 What is the largest main Sabre2 that I could fit into a Javelin Odyssey OJ, and what reserve do you recommend?
mujie96 0 #2 September 11, 2002 http://www.sunpath.com/sizchart.htm The sizing chart. You can also e-mail Sunpath, they're very helpful. Jess Just keep swimming...just keep swimming....
blackwidow 0 #3 September 11, 2002 I know the sizing chart says ZP-139. But there are two guys at my drop zone jumping OJ containers (Odyssey) and fit Spectre 150s fine. I just wanted to make sure that the Sabre2 pack was not significantly different from the spectre and that they have not recently changed the container of the OJ??? Thank you... skybytch 273 #4 September 11, 2002 A better way to buy gear is to decide what size main and reserve you can safely land, then get a container that was built to fit those canopies. According to Sunpath, the OJ will fit a zp main up to about 135 sq ft, and a reserve like the PD143R, MR 150 or Tempo 150.

That might result in a container that was not optimally cool. The accepted procedure is to buy the smallest possible container and squeeze the largest possible canpies into it (hey, _they_ don't have to pack the reserve!) If the resulting main is still sorta small, it is easier to then defend one's choice than change containers and mains.
tigra 0 #6 September 11, 2002 Spectres are 7 cells- a Spectre will have a smaller pack volume than a comparable Zero P 9 cell. I have a Spectre 150 in a Wings W8, but I wouldn't try to put my Sabre 150 in there.
drenaline 0 #7 September 12, 2002 Best thing to do is to email the manufacturer, if it doesn't fit they might give you an advice on what to do or might simply tell you not to try it. HISPA 21 www.panamafreefall.com

Can't remember which one but I think it was the PD pack volume seminar. HISPA 21 www.panamafreefall.com
