Using a reserve that you land on a nice grass DZ, picking it up and putting it inside is'nt going to be as hard on a reserve as landing in the desert and dragging it in the sand. PD requires at 40 pack jobs the canopy needs sent back to the factory for testing for airworthyness (I've heard very few fail). Its 40 packs,not jumps but if you are a CRW dawg that might be one in the same. I'd look at the conditions a reserve was jumped in before I toss out buying it. Someone that pond swoops and soaks the reserve every week has a canopy that has way more repacks then your average jumper.
