drenaline 0 #1 August 2, 2002 Just bought a new boomerangand its huge, do you per chance now if the size of the boomerang is like the Z1 (only liner change size) or does the helmet size change too? Live in another country, its cheaper to buy a new liner than to send the helmet so I can get a new one, but helmet looks huge on my head. AggieDave 6 #2 August 2, 2002 Boneheads use different liner sizes for all except the very largest size, which is a different shell. So a different liner would probably do you just right.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
drenaline 0 #3 August 2, 2002 I bought the XL, will changing liner get me the L size? or the XL is the one with different shell? HISPA 21 www.panamafreefall.com
AggieDave 6 #4 August 2, 2002 No, you should be able to just get liners for that. The XXL is the different shell.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
drenaline 0 #5 August 2, 2002 Thanx for your help. Hey another Q, can you bake/cook the boomerang like people did with the mindwarp? HISPA 21 www.panamafreefall.com
AggieDave 6 #6 August 2, 2002 Now that, I do not know. If you drop a quick e-mail to the great people over there at Bonehead, I'm sure they'll respond quickly.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
SkymonkeyONE 4 #7 August 2, 2002 Just call over there. They will tell you the deal, but obviously you are going to have to take the lens off before you do anything.
drenaline 0 #8 August 2, 2002 Can't call, too expensive, live in another country. last time I tried to email them when there was a boogie they answered me "instant reply: we will answer you right after we get back from the boogie" and since the WFFC is going on... skycat 0 #9 August 2, 2002 No you can't cook the boomerang like the mindwarp. I ended up sending mine back because it was way to large for my small head even with an inch of foam in it.Fly it like you stole it!
AggieDave 6 #10 August 5, 2002 Looked at the instructions that came with one that's for sale at the Aggieland Gear Store this weekend. Aparently you bake the liner, not the helmet. Take the liner out and bake it, put it back in the helmet and put it on. Although I'm not real sure how that would help you, since you're not changing the helmet shape, but that's what it said.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." drenaline 0 #11 August 7, 2002 Just an update from my original post. From XL to L it seems that the shell changes (square 1 told me to send it back). You can't bake the shell but you can bake the liners for a custom fit. For instructions: www.boneheadcomposites.com go to order forms.
