propack

I'd ask somebody to show you how to do it. I read the description (with pictures) in Poynter's book, looked at a web site with instructions (Precision Aerodynamics?), and watched Pack Like a Pro for a few minutes until I realized that I couldn't follow it without a canopy in my hands.

I still didn't understand it at all until I took a packing class and had somebody standing over my shoulder showing me what to do and answering my questions.

Oh, and if you take a packing lesson, try to find the guy on your dropzone that has 1,000 jumps and pack jobs but no cutaways.

I've seen a serial lineover artist giving packing lessons and well, I just can't figure out what either party was thinking.

the best way to learn to pack is to watch several different people. everyone packs just a little bit different than everyone else. after you do that you can take a little bit from each person and then you have your own packing style.

Ask a rigger to teach you. That way you can learn about the A, B, C and D lines and the controll lines and how to untwist them etc...

You can go to the http://www.performancedesigns.com and download the ram air parachute manual (there is one that is called the reserve propack, don't download that one, download the ram air one) the final pages have the propack instruction.

Good luck on the ZP.
