drenaline 0 #1 July 13, 2002 Am about to buy my full face helmet and been thinking alot about the boomerang, but I can't find any comments about it (is not even in the gear reviews). Is it comfortable? has good audible pocket? is it really good for freeflying and everything else or no? anything else? Thanx in advance. AggieDave 6 #2 July 13, 2002 The audible is Internal and yes it has one. I haven't jumped with one, but I had one on and ran around the DZ for a bit. I liked it, it fit well, the visor is removable (they have some sort of "swoop visor" although we dont' know what that is). Basically, If I was going to buy a full face, that is the one I would buy--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." skycat 0 #3 July 13, 2002 Well I bought one and sent it back. The helmet was really cool, internal audible port, the strap was nice and chin flap were cool. Unfortunately it did not size down to a small well at all. It was a large shell with an inch of padding inside so although it fit well on the sides and arount my head (where you measure) it was to long from the chin area to the top. I could very easily move it back and forth and if I moved it back so my chin sat where it was suppose to be in the chin cup area I could just rotate the helmet forward and off my head. So I thought it was a cool helmet, but it did not size down well for a small head.Fly it like you stole it!
SkymonkeyONE 4 #4 July 15, 2002 I am a complete BoneHead fan (I own two), but I have to tell you that I think the Boomerang is one ugly son-of-a-bitch. We have one in SkyKat that I tried on and played with. I think the worse thing about it is the bulbous back-of-head look and fit, like the current generation Mindwarp and Havok. I really like the internal audible location and don't mind the lens, but all three "new" helmets would be much better looking without the pointy rear section. Switching to the "last year's" Mindwarp style as a base would greatly help I think. Maybe Chris will read this and take a hint. Did I mention that BoneHead rocks?
