Knots for tying toggels to brake lines

Recommended Posts

You'll find detailed instructions in the manual that came with your canopy.

But since you probably don't have one, you can see it in the PD manual.

I thought that it was not a knot....

You simply insert the end of the line into the grommet, then pull it over the end of the brake handle. That locks it in place. However, if you don't have a loop in the end of your brake lines ( for this purpose ) then I follow the previous suggestion.

You still sometimes have to create the loop. Generally this is done with a fingertrap and a bartack; sometimes this is done with a fingertrap and a knot. I've used an overhand knot for this purpose. Generally canopy linesets come with a loop on the end of the line to begin with.
