PhreeZone 20 #1 June 6, 2002 Lately I've been playing with the slow limitations of my canopy and I've noticed that when I slowly apply pressure on the toggles its smooth untill the bartacking at the Cat-eye or even the cat eye itself meets up with the guide ring on the riser, then I have to apply a light snap force to get the cat eye over the ring. During high speed movements like the flare and the turns its fine, the problem arises when slow steady input is applied to the lines. I'm jumping Sunpath mini-risers and a Cobalt 150 canopy. Has anyone else experienced anything like this or know of a cure? Its annoying in a braked turn to have to apply a quick input to get more brake force or trying to set up an sport accuracy approach and I can't get it to go into deep brakes to hang for a bit more.If once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny, consume you it will.... ramon 0 #4 June 7, 2002 which seem to go in and out of fashion every week, are supposed to make that prolem invisble. it will still be there but the riser will move with the brake line and you will just feel a smooth flare.I dunno...ramon"wee girls on a skydive road trip on big bikes...... yikes, dykes and bikes kinda thing...... weid14 0 #6 June 8, 2002 well, the benefit of having that happen is it helps plane out the back of the canopy to flatten your glide a bit more. of course once it gets past the ring you might have the reverse affect. I notice it more on my crossfire than on my velocity, maybe it is a brake length thing, or maybe things are just happening quicker on the velocity and I don't notice it as much. (both canopies have vectran lines)
