wonko 0 #1 May 27, 2002 Hi there,I bought a new Wings container and I love it for a safety of it's design. There is still a detail that makes me wonder: a so called FREEFLY handle. I've heard they used velcro earlier but not any more. The handle looks like sitting quite loosely under the flap and in fact it is.When deploying after sitfly I found it dancing freely beyond my ass and I was really delighted for the PC was still in the pouch. I wonder if it will stay there next time too ;-)Does anybody out there have similar problem? Any suggestions?Anyway, I dont like velcro......but i like freefly
cloud9 0 #2 May 27, 2002 I don't have that many jumps on my new wings yet about 25 or so. But so far I have not had any problems with the FF pud. I'm not sure how your stowing it but mine stays put. However I mostly belly fly, but do have about 8 sit fly jumps on it and again no problems. Also mine only has about one half inch. of attachment bridle on it so it really can't go anywhere it would just be like having a hackey. I have a W10 with a 150 Heatwave in it. wonko 0 #3 May 28, 2002 Thank you for the hint - the attachment bridle may be the problem here - mine is more than 2 inches long :)I stow the pud the same way - under the right flap as suggested in manual. But it really fits loose there.
skydivinmartin 0 #4 May 29, 2002 Is your main canopy the one the Wings main tray was designed for, or have you downsized? My Wings has the pud handle, which stows very tightly under the right side flap - I have to jam it in with a few fingers providing some leverage. (my container was built specifically for my current main canopy) No problem sitflying with this setup.Martin
prost 0 #5 May 29, 2002 You might want to make sure that you are putting it in correctly. I haven't seen anyone else have a problem with them. We got them last year as staff rigs.William
