Cobalt Lines

I Just picked up a used Cobalt 120 that has @ 850 jumps on it, The lines were replaced @ 600.
How long should I expect a line set to last. (In general)
I want to be just like Truman Sparks when I get big...

that depends on a lot of things. For one, do you pack on a smooth surface, or out in the grass or dirt? Do you drag your main and lines around on the ground after you land, or do you pick up all your kit right away and carry it back without dragging anything?
I pack in the grass a lot and have about 500 jumps on my small spectra lines on my orange main and probably won't be replacing them anytime soon since they are still not fuzzy at all. The spectra lines on my old Stiletto 97 had well over 1000 jumps on them and they were still fine in my opinion.

Modern lines tend to stretch or shrink out of trim long before they become structurally unsound.
Time ot replace lines varies from 200 to 1,000 jumps. Top blade running competitors replace lines after 200 or 300 jumps because they load their canopies at 2.3 and want to extract every ounce of performance.
Sport jumpers who load their canopies lighter usually go 600 or 800 jumps between re-lines. As long as they land softly, they are happy with their old lines.
And as Skymonkee mentioned: neat packing, soft openings, landing on grass, packing on carpet, etc. all prolong line life.

Its the trim that concerns me most.
this will be the first time i flown a cobalt and i dont want bad trim to to spoil it.
its amazing what a difference that will make with some canopies.
