Watch out for this helmet!

The man has spoken............................
Hey Chris,
I have noted of a few interesting things on our website.
A. Do you see the word "skydiving" on the Standard Helmet Page?
B. Not on the Camera Helmet page either. Hum, Interesting
C. I don't see it on the Accessories Page.
D. There is a mention of 'Parachutists" on the Military Page.....
E. Very interesting, "Boneheads In Action", there it mentions that Bonehead is 'Not Just For Skydiving Anymore" Followed by an interesting picture. http://www.boneheadcomposites.com/2002/BIA.htm
Do you think this might confuse some of the viewers?
Chris,
I am sorry for all this confusion I have created on your website, I will get onto the site and make the changes noted below.
1. Specify that we at Bonehead Composites do more that just build Skydiving helmets.
2. Clarify that the "Riders Rage" is a Novelty helmet ONLY for novelty motorcycle riders.
a.I have seen some of the 'Smooth and Tortuise shells being swooped, should we ground these folks?
I hate limiting the items on your great products, but to avoid all this confusion I guess we can.
Please get back to me n this right away, Chris, so I can make any necessary changes.
Cielos Azules, Blue Skies, and all that............

Can you take requests?
How about Extreme Bass Fishing helmets? lol (I still dont know if its the fishing or the bass thats extreme.. ;)
Actually, Chris and Jeanie, if sone of the highly inteligent posters on here got confused, the general web-surfers looking around for helmets would probably also get confused. I guess you would catch them when they call to order, but I would suggest you make you web site clearer.

Props to everyone at Bonehead. I have said before that after getting my Batrak, I love bonehead. Now, the point has been cleared up. But let me share a little from a biker's viewpoint, I am surprised at how few we had chime in. Before I get flamed, yes I think the page was confusing, but my money was on swooping or bikers. Would the people who bring you safety minded camera helmets, really make a helmet for skydiving with spikes?
Okay:
a) Someone asked about wearing motorcycle helmets in freefall. It used to be the standard! There was nothing else, I know countless POPS guys that still have Bell or H-D helmets from years back.
b) I would bet there are more non-DOT helmets for bikers than DOT approved ones. A lot of bikers hate being made to wear a helmet. And there are many states including Texas, which last time I checked had a hell of a lot of land and bikers, that don't require helmets. I also know you can ride from Texas to Sturgis and only have to wear a helmet in one state inbetween.
c) Safety is in your hands, it is good a lot of people noticed they looked unsafe for freefall. Kudos, don't buy one then. Most skydiving helmets are just general purpose anyway. Gath sells to snowboarders, and skaters. I have seen factory divers and sidwinders sold for snow skiing use. Some swoopers use wakeboarding helmets. You should be smart enough to pick your own helmet. And also smart enough to trust a company whose safety record is pretty nice not to do something stupid.
On an interesting note, I plan on being the first person I have seen to take a camera helmet cross-sport. I intend to wear my Batrak for both mt. biking and motorcycling. You don't see much point of view action from those hobbies. Of course, Jeanie, I hope I can do that, with a "skydiving helmet" :o
Sorry if I was harsh guys, I just really like Bonehead and it seemed they were getting a little trashed in here.

That'll be great footage as you bonk and biff into a tree...
Actually, that would be sweet, especially proving how hard it was to actually take good Mt. Biking footage that one Saturday at Bohnam St. Park.
"Are they short-shorts?" T.B.

Malachi, I don't think we've ever met, therefore you wouldn't have seen my camera mod'd Gath skiing, bungee jumping, mountain biking, go karting etc. And I 've used my old Leo Dickinson helmet climbing, rappelling, and motocrossing (such a word?)
IMHO POV footage kicks it, especially nowadays with good cams, and decent TVs.
Yer gonna have some fun man.....
BTW I don't have anything against the good peeps at Bonehead, I already had my Cam helmets long before they started commercially producing their fine products, and I'm happy with what I've already got.

I swear this has had to be one of the dumbiest debates. I mean how hard was it to understand that it wasn't a skydiving helmet. I didn't think it was that difficult to figure out unless you are nit picking. Sheesh...no wonder they have to put HOT on Mcdonalds coffee cups.

Already did that last year on my motorcycle while making a video for a local group of motorcycle riders..
I swear it was a parking lot we were in, it was just striped and had "speed limit 70" signs on it. :)Oh and it went on for miles.. gotta love those parking lots.
