kmcguffee 0 #1 April 5, 2002 Does anyone know of a website that gives the pack volume of the new Sabre2s? I'm looking for the pack volume for a Sabre2 150 to see if it will fit in my container. Any help would be appreciated.
billvon 3,092 #2 April 5, 2002 Don't know of any "official" sources outside PD, but the old Sabre 150 was a little over 400 cu in - and I'd be willing to bet that the new Sabre2 is similar.-bill von
skybytch 273 #3 April 5, 2002 PD doesn't seem to publish pack volumes anymore... we haven't gotten them at work for the last four canopies they've introduced.I'd think that if your container will hold a Sabre 150 it should hold a Sabre2 150...pull & flare, lisa
kmcguffee 0 #4 April 5, 2002 My container currently holds a Triathlon 175 and it is extremely tight. I know that a 9 cell 150 has more pack volume than a 7 cell 150 but how much I'm not sure. On PD's site they say that the Sabre2 has less pack volume than the original Sabre. I was trying to determine if I would be able to keep the same container when I downsize later (probably to a Sabre2 150). I'm thinking that I can but I would like to check the numbers first. Actually, you'll probably like the pack job a lot better pull & flare, lisa

alan 1 #7 April 5, 2002 Contact the manufacturer of your container, they are usually the most reliable source for correct sizing information.alan

ljwobker 2 #9 April 10, 2002 I own a Hornet 190 with Dacron lines that fits VERY snugly into my Infinity. I swapped over to a Sabre2 with microline and it fits much more comfortably, I'd estimate that the volume of the Sabre2-170 is 10 to 15% smaller than the Hornet-190. Maybe this is useful, maybe not... ;-)
