scotts 0 #1 April 1, 2002 today i had the hardest opening that i hope is the worst i'll ever have.jumping a turbo zx 225 made by Para-Flite that opened so hard that i blew out 1 end cell from front to back. canopy has 78 jumps on it and it didn't come apart at the stitching or line attachments. it appears to be material failure. my packing was no different than any other pack job that i've done. this canopy is TSO'd at 240# and i'm out the door at 230#. stable at deployment and my protrack says i never exceeded 128 mph.any thoughts on what could've happened and what, if any help, i might get from the mfr. would be appreciated. i did manage to land this thing, PLFing. Hooknswoop 19 #2 April 1, 2002 It isn't TSO'd. 240 lbs. is the manufactures recommended maximum suspended weight.Hook

Hooknswoop 19 #4 April 1, 2002 I would contact the manufacturer and let them know what happened. More than likely they will make it right. Did you buy it new?Hook
scotts 0 #5 April 1, 2002 I didn't get the canopy new. The person i got the rig from, had bought everything brand new and had put only 7 jumps on it in 4 years due to being in the military and work constraints. I'll be getting in touch with Para-Flight to see what help they can offer, but the latest i've heard is that they no longer produce sport main canopies. I'll post updates.
