freeflycracker 0 #1 March 20, 2002 I sent this a few minutes ago and just thought Id post it here as there have been several discussions about it.Simon,I have had my Crossfire mod performed as required. I've put a few jumps on it. It is not satisfactory. I'll skip a further explanation as I am sure you've heard them.A Crossfire has certain measurements and dimensions that make it a crossfire. I either paid $1500 for a Crossfire or something else with Crossfire written on the side. You've said that only a small percentage of the listed canopies had the problem. I also heard (not through Icarus) that if the wing had the problem it was very obvious. Such as bucking and bouncing when the front risers were pulled down. Before the mod, My front risers caused no such problems. In any conditions. It was the canopy you claimed it to be. Superior.I would like to hear what can be done about this situation. At this point I would accept- The canopy measured,(Its either a Crossfire or not) tested by Icarus, deemed safe in the original configuration and returned with a new line set(I think three sets of holes in the lines is probably not safe). Or send a refund check. Prorated for jumps put on the canopy of course.Feel free to contact me at any of the following

freeflycracker 0 #3 March 20, 2002 Actually I did let them know in the subject line of the e-mail. I am not a rigger. But it would seem that with bar tacking the needle would certainly break a few strands rather than slide by every one of them. Creating holes. But Ive been wrong before.
