Cool and Groovy Evolution 2000

Recommended Posts

A friend of mine found something called an Evolution 2000. It is an audible made by the Cool and Groovy Fridge Company. In the add it says that it comes with software and an interface cable to download your jumps like a Pro-Track. Has anyone heard anything about this. If so how does it compare to the Pro-Track? What features does it have? Any feedback would be apprecieated.

I don't know anyone who used one but apparently unstable bug-ridden software, the inability to view any recorded data without a lap-top and the high price made this flop. It disappeared almost as soon as it was launched .
Never read a good word about them. Never read a bad word about a ProTrack. End of comparison : )
PS except for the above posting that went up while I was writing mine !!

Cool and Groovy (as it was) is based in the uk and has recently been taken over by one of George Pilkington's (sp?) old employees.
It now seems to be marketed as Time Out Technologies and can be found here.
I've never jumped anything other than ProDytter/ProTrack so I can't comment on their quality but I know people that happily use them.

I have been jumping with a Cool & Groovy Time Out! for 4 or 5 years now. This was the predacessor to the Evolution. As far as the time out goes it has been great. Customer service was great as well.
A Pro Track however is in a class of it's own. More like the Cadilac of audibles. For a trouble free, low cost simple to use audible, go with the C&G.

The Evo2000 was a piece of crap.
I owned one because the pro-track hadn't come out yet.
Fact is, it was rushed to market to beat the pro-track and it showed.
As far as customer service, they were more concerned with telling me why it was so great rather than listening to what I didn't like about it. The software, which was the only way to view the stored data was also rushed to market and would crash around every two or three mouse clicks.
As soon as the pro-track came out I bought one, dumped my evo2000 on some unsuspecting fellow who was still high on George's Kool-Aid. I sold it cheap to ease my own conscience.
