a friend of mine gave his old canopy to jump it for a couple of jumps just so the dzo on this dz will c how i fly and then let me fly my 135.
on the warting tab it says Model: Icarus 145, made by NZ Aerosports...
and on the side panels it says "ICARUS from Jyro"
anyone heard about this canopy?
and would if fit in my jav (TJN), sized for a 135 main

Hmmm, it sounds as if it maybe was the Icarus Extreme Mark I, the predecessor of the Extreme FX?!

Nah. The original EXTremes said just that on the sides. I doubt Omri has a tri-cell there. JYRO means "jump your ring off".

Be a man and squash that bastard in there. You will probably have to loosed your closing loop a bit, but I think you will be able to get it in there.

icarus is a relatively new name.
all canopies from aerosports (nz) were called jyros,because that is the nickname of the guy that started it all.
i'm sure skymonkey nows this too.

Sounds like you've got an Icarus Beta which is the Icarus equivalent of a Sabre (9 cell square - can't remember if it's ZP or not). There are a few around in Australia. I've done one jump with a 145 and it flies fine. Give it a jump. As for the fit, you might be best to e-mail the designer and ask him.
