RedBull 0 #1 February 27, 2002 This week, I have my rigger moving my Cypres from my old rig into a new rig (I'll admit it. I'm guilty of taking only cursory glances at the display to make sure there's a "0" there, and some sort of arrow, and I haven't been paying attention to the countdown or the arrow's direction. So a heads up: Take the extra 1/10 second to make sure your arrow points downward, and if you don't know what the countdown should look like, ask someone who knows. mikefarmer 0 #2 February 27, 2002 Good advice, but for a second there, I thought you were going to say the display unit was mounted upside-down in its window as in some containers. I was about to roll.Missy the 225 lb. Meat Missile Sky World

TEB6363 0 #4 February 27, 2002 I don't think there is supposed to be an arrow showing if you have set your Cypress for zero. The Arrow is if you hold down the button while the countdown starts, you can set the cypress up or down from zero to account for a different elevation at the landing area. This would be a time that I grabbed the Cypress instructions to double check at the DZ. However, let us know if the mfg says anything specific about the problem.:::OK, Canopy is Open, No Traffic Around, .. Why are these "Extra" Lines Draping Down??, Damn! Hooknswoop 19 #5 February 27, 2002 After it goes through the self- test it should read "0" w/ a down arrow.
PhreeZone 20 #6 February 27, 2002 A properly functioning CYPRES will read 0 with a down arrow at the end of its start up sequence.Cause I don't wanna come back down from this cloud... ~ Bush

TEB6363 0 #8 February 27, 2002 OK, My Bad. I was thinking about the two different arrows that can adjust the landing elevation. You guys are correct about the "little" arrow in the corner.Well, mine does set to zero after the regular countdown. Please let us know if there was something out of wack with your Cypress.:::OK, Canopy is Open, No Traffic Around, .. Why are these "Extra" Lines Draping Down??, Damn!
