lippy 918 #1 February 26, 2002 Hey Y'all,I just ordered myself a Reflex, and it is exactly what I want, except for the lack of a collapsable PC. I'm putting a Sabre 170 in it, and although I like to play under canopy, I won't be doing anything crazy for at least another 100 jumps or so on it. Is there a significant difference in performance, or will I not even notice it. I've only jumped one other S170 and it was collapsable, and I've never jumped anything but a Manta without one. Any info appreciated,Live to Jump, Pull to Live,Lippy
TEB6363 0 #2 February 26, 2002 You will probably notice some performance loss with a fully inflated pilot chute. If you get the chance, buy yourself a good kill-line pilot chute and it will last for years. You can probably pick up a bungee collapsible a little cheaper, but they are not as nice as kill-line.:::OK, Canopy is Open, No Traffic Around, .. Why are these "Extra" Lines Draping Down??, Damn! USPA 0 #3 February 26, 2002 If you do, I can recommend the kill-line PC from Precision Aerodynamics, if suitable. They have a indicator window (so you can see it's cocked properly) and the kill-line inside the bag (which is attached at the canopy) is inside the bridle. This way the bridle and kill-line are beter protected for wear
TALONSKY 0 #4 February 26, 2002 I am not sure if they still do but Reflex use to sew the bridal of the pilot chute to the d-bag. If this is still the case you will need to have a rigger change it over to a standard grommet before you can change to a kill line.Kirk
