Ernie 0 #1 February 21, 2002 Any big dif between the Sky Tronic Pro and the Pro Track other than about $100? Will they both fit in my Mind Warp pouch?
TALONSKY 0 #2 February 21, 2002 ProbablyThe most prominent difference between the two is that one (Pro-Track) has a totally incredible customer service verses the other one (Sky tronic pro) does not have good customer service. Look in the gear section under the Pro-track.Kirk
MarcusV 0 #3 February 21, 2002 The Skytronic and the Skytronic Pro both are too expensive (I don't want to say they are shit). Parasport Italia is allergic against customer service (I don't want to say they don't care). Just my personal experience - and from many friends. Larsen & Brusgaard products are awesome, precisely built, and worth every single cent. Besides of that L & B provide you with more than excellent customer service. You can't make anything wrong with investing more money into a Pro Dytter or Pro Track.Blues Marcus--Perfect speed, my son, is being there. - Jonathan Livingston Seagull
lazerq3 0 #4 February 21, 2002 I'm just going off of pure hearsay , but of the 5 or 6 people I've heard the own a skytronic, they have not been all that happy with it. Things like bad reading, goofy numbers poping up and battiers running out fast are some of the compliants I 've heard. Plus the Cust Service not being good. I have a protrack and love it!!!! HAvnet talked to anyone with one that said they they didnt. But i'm sure there may be a few out there!!!jason
Kris 0 #5 February 22, 2002 I didn't like my Skytronic Pro. I had to have it repaired after a month and the turn-around was over three months. Totally unacceptable. My Pro-Track has been going rock-sold for well over a year now, even on the same set of batteries. I *know* that if I have a problem with my Pro-Track it will be taken care of quickly and efficiently. L&B definitely has made a lifetime customer out of me. BadDog 0 #6 February 22, 2002 I've got one of each. If I could only have one, it would be the ProTrack. If I could have two, it would be the ProTrack and the ProDytter. Neither was out when I bought the Skytronic. Before that, I had a Skycorder!CorporateLawyerDave aka BadDog
SkydiveMonkey 0 #7 February 22, 2002 Get a pro-track. Couldn't be happier with mine. Plus, as mentioned, L&B's customer service is excellent, and the pro-track will also give you more readings and a better value if you decide to sell it later (Which you won't!!). You shouldn't put a knife in the toaster - but you're an adult now !!!
Ernie 0 #8 February 23, 2002 Thanks guys, Pro Track it is!
Gravitymaster 0 #9 February 25, 2002 Got to add one more vote for the Pro-Track. I recently purchased the Jump-Track sortware only to discover I didn't have a serial port on my computer. I do have a couple of USBs and a couple of firewire ports. I went out and priced adding a serial port or purchasing a converter. Bottom line...$50. OUCH!!!! Contacted L&B and within one week, they sent me a converter FREE OF CHARGE. I am now a customer for life. The product is fantastic. I've owned my Pro0Track for over a year and never had any problems with it.
