kmcguffee 0 #1 February 21, 2002 Anyone have any idea how to get Sunrise Rigging to move the delivery of my new container up a week (without paying the expedite fee)? I have a small boogie at my DZ the weekend before they are scheduled to deliver it. Rental costs will kill me if I don't have my new container. They are currently telling me they can't do it. Names, phone numbers, or techniques would all be appreciated.
SkydiveMonkey 0 #2 February 21, 2002 Just keep asking them how long it will be - if you pester them enough they might hurry it up. You shouldn't put a knife in the toaster - but you're an adult now !!!
PhreeZone 20 #3 February 21, 2002 Do that and they could bump it back.If they say it can't be done... trust them, it can't be done.....Cause I don't wanna come back down from this cloud... ~ Bush
skybytch 273 #4 February 21, 2002 Bugging them about it is not the answer. That's a pet peeve for any manufacturer and won't win you friends or positively influence people.Either pay the rush fee.... or wait another week....pull and flare,lisa--What would Scooby Doo? kmcguffee 0 #5 February 21, 2002 I work in a manufacturing plant(deal with customers regularly) so I understand about being bugged to move an order up but I also understand that it can be done. I would consider it very unprofessional to bump someone back just for bugging them. I hope Sun Rise is not that type of company. I don't intend to call again I just thought someone might have an inside line that I could try.thanks,
Slowfaller 0 #6 February 21, 2002 Just ask nicely. I heard of SR doing this for some guy who was going to a boogie in Cali. If you tell them you need it for a boogie I'm sure they will do their best to help you out. I agree w/ Phree and Skybytch, don't beg or hide the reason why you need it sooner. Wings customer service is excellent.I'll go to college; learn some big words; I'll talk real loud god damn right I'll be heard.
Emmie 0 #7 February 21, 2002 I would call them and explain the situation. I needed mine a week earlier then the date it was suposed to be finished, so I called and talked to Heather, and she said that they would try to help me out. It ended up being ready even before I needed it. So just be honest and beg alot.
cloud9 0 #8 February 21, 2002 Well Honestly I don't mean you any ill will, but I would sure be pissed if they moved yours up in front of mine. I don't think you want your rig any worse then I want mine. Also there are a lot of others just on this forum alone that have ordered wings. So think about what your asking for! All of us to take a back seat because you want your rig. By the way sometimes they do come in a week early I'm told. They try to leave a little cushion in the delivery time. So guess you'll just have to bear with it like the rest of us
 AggieDave 6 #9 February 21, 2002 Drop by their factory with a case of beer...or call and pay the expedite fee."I'll take Famous Titties for 400..."
