Kirils 1 #1 February 18, 2002 It's time for a reserve repack on my Vortex II. The rigger refuses to do the repack without a reserve packing manual. (they won't pack it like a Jav)I've tried emailing the Chute Shop and Icarus Skydiving Equipment in SA, with no response. Vortex II UK's website is down. Kirils 1 #5 February 19, 2002 It was my understanding the Vortex does pack exactly like a Jav. My rigger has never seen or packed a Vortex and refuses to pack it without docs for the Vortex... steve1 5 #7 February 20, 2002 The Idarus Company in South Africa is really hard to get ahold of. It seems like faxes and even phone messages won't work. I've been trying to order a canopy from them for almost three weeks now and haven't even been able to get an order form from them. I ordered a canopy from them two weeks ago and have gotten an email saying they received my order I just put down what I wanted specifically through there email address, I asked when my CC would be charged and they emailed me the Day it was charged and then I got one form them today saying they would keep me posted and when I should expect my canopy. I called twice for ??? and spoke directly with manny both times. That suxs yoru have a hard time but so far I've had a great experiance with them! You can phone Manny at +27 11 452 8858. I know that Chute Shop does not want Manny to sell to overseas buyers. I somehow think that he manages to ignore that.
