MrHixxx 0 #1 February 18, 2002 I have been using slinks on my main going on the second season now and I am starting to think about the amount of wear I put on them. I use a lot of front riser on my approaches and I know it has to put some wear on the contact points with the risers and the lines. Does it make any sense to use Cypres silicone at these contact points to reduce wear? What does everybody think?thanxxx, Hixxx"Sus ma tub, Dr. Suess ma tub" [crazy/red]
PhreeZone 20 #2 February 18, 2002 Using riser input should'nt affect Slink wear anymore then deployment or packing does. If the slink has any wear spots on it... replace it. There should be no need to lubercate them.Cause I don't wanna come back down from this cloud... ~ Bush

MrHixxx 0 #5 February 18, 2002 I am actually more concerned about protecting the risers and lines. I think the slinks will easily outlast them both.-Hixxx"Sus ma tub, Dr. Suess ma tub"
PhreeZone 20 #6 February 18, 2002 Slinks wear at the same rate as 825 Spectra does. The attachment point should'nt be an issue with the lines. The risers, as long as the slinks are set, they should'nt wear any more then rapide links. In fact, they should wear less since the slider bumper is not wearing on the out side of the risers.Cause I don't wanna come back down from this cloud... ~ Bush
