magicmx5 0 #1 January 7, 2002 Well, the year is new and I finally have my own canopy. I received my Hornet 190 and managed to make 3 jumps on it Saturday (4000, 7500, 9500). After all the horror stories I'd hear, I was pleasantly surprised. It was the sweetest opening all 3 times. It took about 800' to slowly inflate and put me comfortably under a canopy, 1000' for the subterminal hop 'n pop. I'm looking forward to many more jumps with the rig and some good times with all of the great people at Archway.

cloud9 0 #4 January 7, 2002 Hey Magic I dont know what horror stories youv'e heard but my hornet 150 opens sweet all the time. Good luck with your new rig!Lisa what a steal, I take that to mean you finally got back in the air, super hope that back holds up for you. I think you'll be surprised. I had a pretty hard opening on a Sabre after my surgery and I made out ok. I mean it hurt like hell and I don't jump Sabre's anymore but I walked away. Good luck with your new canopy and newly fused disc!
Kirils 1 #5 January 7, 2002 Congrats...No better way to start the New Year! The Hornet is a great, reliable, well made chute. My DZ is in the middle of PD territory and you always catch flack over jumping PISA chutes. If they only knew... Skydiving is not a static excercise with discrete predictability... magicmx5 0 #6 January 7, 2002 What, you didn't like the somersault. I meant to do that...really. I was working on style points. :)If you're not having fun, what's the point
MiataDRM 0 #7 January 7, 2002 I love my Hornet-170. I haven't heard anything bad about them...and mine hasn't showed me any bad characteristics. Speaking of learning to land! AYE**I'm a Pschydiver!Majdi
