riggerrob 643 #28 January 14, 2002 It is unlikely assistant test jumper got his arm ripped off. Neither pilotchute was pulling on his arm until after the D-bag opened. He was only holding an inflated catapult after the reserve canopy came out. If he was smart, he released when the reserve inflated. The first reserve pilotchute never inflated.Documented cases of reserve bag strip are extremely rare. There was one case with a Golden Knight at Muskogee circa 1980.
