FallnAngel 0 #1 December 9, 2001 Hey, everyone!Turns out that Santa is most definitely *not* a whuffo!! He bought me a cool new blue Pro-Track for Christmas, and even dropped it off 2 weeks early ...got a chance to try it out yesterday...wow! very cool toy!! So, now my question is, should I ask for the JumpTrack software for my birthday in a few months? Is anyone using it & are you glad you got it?Thanks!Blue skies, light winds,Karen
BadDog 0 #2 December 9, 2001 I have it and I use it. I don't bother with the paper log anymore. Make sure you have all of the "necessary" jumps signed off on paper though.CorporateLawyerDave aka BadDog
PhreeZone 20 #3 December 9, 2001 Using Jumptrack or constsantly viewing the LCD runs the batteries down in the Protrack.... And the batteries are'nt cheap I found out, like $10 for a pair. mountainman 0 #6 December 10, 2001 Laura and I got our ProTracks a couple weeks ago and they are blue also. Very slick. We didn't even ask us for the special color.Anyway, I dont have/use Jump Track, but would appreciate more info about who finds it useful and why.Thanks!-------------http://www.JumpinDuo.com"oh no. GrumpySmurf 0 #7 December 10, 2001 Speaking of Pro-Tracks - SDC has there on sale at Active Wear for like $259, I think it was. There's a link on the skydivechicago.com webpage for Active Wear, so you might want to contact them to confirm (I could be off by +- $10). Just a thought - if you are looking for a early Christmas gift for yourself...figured I'd mention it since I don't think I have ever seen them on sale below the industry norm $289.(And nope, I don't work for SDC or Active Wear, nor get kickbacks from them)
jfields 0 #8 December 10, 2001 Brandon,I use JumpTrack. I wouldn't say it is necessary in any way, but if you are a tech-geek, then go for it.You can get graphs that give you information:http://www.jennandjustin.com/skydive-jumplog-graphjump.asp?jumpindex=63If you record what you are doing, you can see how different things effect your speed. Honestly, none of it is useful, but it is fun.JustinMy Homepage
FallnAngel 0 #9 December 10, 2001 Quotea blue pro track?? no shit!is that a special christmas edition or something? I know what you mean, Omri! I had no idea they came in colors until I opened my xmas gift. I don't think it's just a special thing for a short while either...and I'm pretty sure they have some other colors too, like purple.
